The Forum “Social Entrepreneurship: Time to Act!” was held on May 31, 2019.

The event was organised by the Russian State Social University together with the Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation and the Small and Medium-Size Enterprises Corporation.

The main goal of the Forum is to create a unified communication platform for social entrepreneurs, where Forum participants, representatives of federal and regional executive authorities, leading funds and development institutions will consider the implementation of social entrepreneurship projects, legislative regulation and infrastructure support.

Alexander Pankov, member of the NAIMA board of directors, also took part in the panel organised by “Towards Changes” fund: “Social entrepreneurship: how to increase the investment attractiveness of the sector”. The Executive Director of the Foundation, Evgeny Telitsyna, moderated this section; representatives of various non-profit organisations and social entrepreneurs were among the speakers.

During the panel, representatives of investment projects and investors shared their expectations of interaction with each other. Alexander Pankov also shared his thoughts and gave recommendations to the delegates: “Social entrepreneurship in Russia will develop under two conditions. On the one hand, there must be a steady demand for expanding social instruments from corporations, endowment funds and family  offices. On the other hand, there must be a sufficient number of socially oriented projects that will be ready to compete with the classical business companies”.
