Ilya Smirnov, a Partner at ALTHAUS Legal, Speaks at 2nd IRC – R.O.S.T. Group Annual Conference
IRC – R.O.S.T. Group of Companies has held its traditional spring conference dealing with the pressing issues of changes made to and legal enforcement of corporate legislation.
This year, the conference was largely focused on legislative innovations of 2017 and 2018 and their impact on a joint stock company's corporate existence, liability of a company's beneficial owners and management in case of bankruptcy and non-payment of taxes, and mitigation of risks in related-party transactions.
The conference was also attended by a representative of the Bank of Russia, leading practicing experts from R.O.S.T. Registrar and Independent Registrar Company, and representatives of legal firms.
Ilya's speech was focused on potential limitations on disposal of a non-public joint-stock company's shares to third parties.
"The conference has given an excellent opportunity to share opinions on many pressing issues. Although the greater part of the corporate legislation reform was completed over 2 years ago, there are many persistent issues that joint stock companies are concerned with. I am confident that the conference has benefited its attendees," - Ilya noted.
